Five people I'd like to meet in heaven

Been reading alot lately. I just finished a book by Mitch Albom called "the five people you meet in heaven". It got me wondering which five people I would like to meet.

1) My dad
2) My mum
3) My wife
4) One of my ex-girlfriends
5) Probably someone I got to know after 32

I hope each of them will have a special story to tell me and allow me to discover a part of my life that I never knew.

Holiday with children

I just returned from a trip to Hong Kong with my wife, her parents, sister and 2 nephews. My wife and I brought the 2 little boys to Hong Kong Disneyland. The elder boy had lots of fun whereas the little one kind of got tired after a while and fell asleep. The 2 boys never fail to impress with their nuainces. The trip was tiring but I kind of enjoyed it. It gave me a sneak peek on what parenthood is all about.

Diving Pulau Dayang 3-5 Aug 07

Went diving over the 3 Aug weekend. Was supposed to go Tioman but the island was booked out (yes this is not a typo, the ISLAND was booked out), as such we ended up at Dayang. I have never been to Dayang before so was kind of glad that we went there.

Dayang island is beautiful with a white sandy beach. The dive sites are pretty much the same as those diving from Aur. The first dive was embarassing as I could not decend. This is beacuse I could not purge the air from my new Salvo Back Plate BC. After a few attempts, I realised that I have to be upright to purge the air (bummer!!). After i got used to my new BC, the rest of the dives are just plain sailing (or rather sinking :p)

On the dive at Reynes rock, my group encountered a family of 18 bumphead parrot fish. That was truely a sight to behold. This sighting alone is well worth the trip. Too bad my camera was having the day off, if not I would have beautiful pictures of the family of 'sea 罗汉' LOL

Happy Happy

I am happy, I collected my new dive gear yesterday. ha ha. Now must scheme for more dive trips ha ha. I think Jinny is going to kill me ha ha ha

Saturday Morning

My wifey and I woke up early to have our favourite kuay chap. Half way through she spilled some gravy on her jeans. Then she started to grumble and grumble. I think she is a bit cranky already ha ha ha.

Mouthwatering meat balls

I came across this recipe for kottbullar (pronounced shot-bull-ar) on Sunday's edtion of the Straits Times.

Meat Ball
1) 1 x small onion
2) 140ml whipping cream
3) 1 x egg
4) 1/2 tsp white pepper
5) 3/4 tsp salt
6) 300g minced beef
7) 300g minced pork
8) 50g breadcrumb

Sauce
1) 400ml stock
2) 2 Tbs whipping cream

I want new dive gear!!!!!!!!!!

I want to get new dive gear!!!! Not that my current set up is not good, just that I want to upgrade to a tech set up.
I have been trying to convince my better half that I need to get new gear but she seems to be immune to my constant whinning. I need to come up with alternate means of getting the message across to her.

Good Friday Long Weekend

I don know why, but I was very restless over this long weekend. Mybe its because I did not get to do what I have wanted to. Maybe I am just getting old and getting a li'l cranky.

I made pan cakes for beakfast on Saturday. Pan cakes have always been comfort food for me.
